LINUS VS WINDOWS (Web Hosts)?

I think for the most part it does not really matter. Sometimes if you are using MS Frontpage to create the web pages then Linux may not support some of the Frontpage features. But other than that it does not make much of a difference. If you do encounter a point where you need to use one or the other for a specific purpose the host service should let you switch over.

It’s not much of a difference for the client (for you) but the differences are visible for a pro. yeah for the most part they are the same. If you notice in frontpage they have sharepoiint extensions etc, that would require windows extensions to use those features.

The platform (windows or linux) only usually effects the server side programming language you can use. e.g. ASP, PHP, CGI, etc.

Having said that you can get many of them on both platforms.

The only really big issue is if scalbility and cost are important. It can be more costly to have dedicated windows servers however if you look at a hosting provider like fasthosts you’ll see the prices are fairly comparable.
