I’m sorry to tell you this, but depending on to where you are trying to upload the files, you may have to rename them. I have encountered several situations in ftp and database operations where file names with spaces cause errors. The best practice I have found, and one that is widely used in industry, is to use an underscore (my_file_name) as a place holder wherever you would normally have a space. Even if you are able to get around renaming them now, I would do it eventually, otherwise you are likely to run into this problem again.

You will always have trouble with spaces in file names. You should never use a space in a file name, especially on the internet. Many web hosts will not even allow them to open to view.
