You can host:
A. as many websites/domains as the storage capacity of the host is capable of holding including all files.
B. as much throughput your bandwidth is capable of.
It sounds to me like you are talking about building your own webserver?

If you want something more powerful, use Linux and NOT Windows, Windows sucks as a webserver. There are many tutorials and articles explaining how to build one.
