Open it up in Windows movie maker, the click on File–Save Movie instead of Save Project. It will render and save it in .wmv format for you.
Instead of saving the file as you’re doing, go to File >> Publish Video.
Publishing is different – that is what actually contains the converted video. Once you do that you can upload it straight to YouTube.
