This is a demonstration of my progress as of April 19th on a project started for the Microsoft ImagineCup called AggieTab. Unfortunately, we were rejected in moving onto Phase II (Microsoft’s loss) but I am continuing development of the project as substitution for my senior design project. The bulk of what’s shown incorporates a Silverlight for Windows Embedded user interface on the Windows Compact Edition 7 platform. This UI interacts with a Managed C# application through P/Invoke / COM Interop so that the Managed C# layer can contain all of the business logic and the UI can do what it does best – interactivity. The managed C# code also communicates with a WCF web service connected to a Microsoft SQL Server backend. Truly an end-to-end web application.

can i connect a laptop w/bad windows to a desktop w/good windows via lan to lan. If so will I be able to repair the bad version. Both are xp host:profess and slave:home. I was hopeing to use the Bios Lan Driver for a direct connection without windows. Were (on the WEB) can I find an instructional document or program?

By using the hosts file in Windows, I can block any website address. But what about blocking an IP address?

In the hosts file, I write:

www.badwebsite.com 1.2.3.4

Because 1.2.3.4 IP number isn’t reachable, when my son visits the bad website, he cannot visit the site.

But if my son tries to enter the IP number of the web site instead of the domain name, he can load the website.

What should I do now? In hosts file, can I set IP numbers, instead of host names?

I design web pages in visual studio 2008 using asp.net and 3.5 framework..
What do i need to do to set up my windows 2003 server to host these asp.net pages..?

I got IIS 6 installed and i already installed the 3.5 framework…
but it still wont host asp.net?

what more can i do?
