Silverlight is technology similar to Adobe Flash and is produced by Microsoft. The technology is currently used to build the user interface of Windows Phone 7. Although Silverlight is not widely used as much as Flash is, it is fair to say it is really cool environment to develop. Today we discuss how you could use Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 Pro, bundled along Expression Design and Expression Web in to a package Microsoft Expression Design, to build a Silverlight media player with absolutely no use of programming. All dummies editions will include programming and I am wondering if it is right to call this ‘Dummies Guide to Instant Silverlight Media Player Development’ ;) Software Used: 01. Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 Pro 02. IIS or Apache for local hosting else a web hosting account. 03. Internet Explorer or any other browser Basic Steps: Open Expression Encoder, import any video, select template from the template tab and encode. Go to the Expression encoder output folder, copy the source files to your web-server and view it in Internet Explorer. Open default.html file and change the MediaSource to the desired file name and do any changes to the HTML to customize the media players size and position. Save and view again. How would I achive this? Be able to launch IE and use it in the media center? And just what are MCE widgets? I am using MCE 2005, not Vista, btw. Please be detailed, and thank you.
By WMC I meant the Media Center program itself, which runs on top of Windows. I’d have to be dumb to not know the Microsoft bunbles Internet Explorer with each version of Windows… What I want to know is how do I use Internet Explorer IN the Media Center program itself? Like I said, I’ve run across several sites (including Wikipedia) that say it is possible to use Internet Explorer IN the Media Center program itself, without the need of minimizing the Media Center program to return to the desktop inorder to access a browser.

I have some question related to Windows Media Server Video streaming deployment. Base on my diagram below:

I want to broadcast a live video streaming over the internet where someone can view it from it’s own PC. However i want to capture that video from a several different place, you will understand if you see that diagram*hopefully* . From what i understand right now, that camera must be connected to PC right? But what i thinking about is actually like what i draw on that image. Is it need each PC that connected to camera must be installed with Windows Media Server? However, from each location of that camera/live streaming we have to connected with our main server (via VPN) where at our main server will be host a web/mail server, firewall and everything that we centralized it. Or just make it simple,is it someone have a idea how i can deploy a live video streaming where that camera is located far away from our server
