Left 4 Dead Survivor on Campaign Glitch

Created a lobby for Survivor and selected the ‘Dead Air’ campaign. Friends only. Friend joins the lobby and we start the game, searching for a dedicated server. We join a server, only to discover that it’s not Dead Air. Also, it’s not Survivor. It’s ‘Campaign’ mode, and it’s ‘No Mercy’. Here’s the kicker. It’s Survivor mode on a Campaign level. As you can see by this video. No zombies spawned, but the timer was activated. When we went to the next level and started the ‘panic event’ for that level. The zombies spawned. Over and over and over and over and over again. It was Survivor on a Campaign level, but it was completable if you managed to get to the saferoom. We didn’t survive long enough to get to the end chapter of the campaign.

In This Tutorial i will show you how to use the “SV” cheats in left 4 dead 2 and how to enable the cheats, My Voice recorder was really loud for some reason so TURN DOWN the volume a little bit cause it is loud Here are 15 Steps (I think) I typed up late at night for all of you who might not be able to understand my voice, my bad for that. Hey man whats up, heres some help on starting up the cheats *I cant spell caimpaing haha* ok Do This, ill tell you how to change map and game style after (unless you already know) 1.Start up Left 4 Dead 2, if you already have it up exit out and start it up again. 2. Click on campaign and Click Play Online 3. When your online Create a New Game, so your the host. 4. Make sure Your in Campaign 1 Chapter 4 the Atrium 5.Make Sure You change from best dedicated server or whatever to LOCAL SERVER or whatever the local one is. 6. Once you do all that, start the game * Recommend making sure no one else can come in when your playing* 7. When you start the game, once it loads, first thing you do, Push what ever key you have the console set too, if you dont know, hit ” ~ ” key that should pause the game and open an extra window called console. 8. Type in the text bar in the console window ” sv_pure 1 ” ( Without quotes ) 9. Then a line should come up saying sv_pure set to 1 sv_pure settings will take place when the next map is loaded * Something real close to that * 10. This was a random dedicated server that me and my friends played in one day, which turned out to have been modified to make super slow, penguin like zombies with unsually high stamina, and spawning in bigger mobs. I also found in this server that I couldn’t melee as fast as before.

This is a tutorial/guide on how to get the messed up achievements in the crash course DLC online without any problems. This method allows you to host the game instead of going on a dedicated server. It’s like having system link online. You can work together online with friends to get those pesky achievements. Only downside is that if the host has a bad connection, lag will be frequent. Worked like a charm for me so I hope it works for you.

This video shows how I bypass the dedicated server search on L4D to get a locally hosted game. With L4D on the X360 there’s no way to specify that we do not wish to use a dedicated server to host our game, and trying to get a locally hosted game used to be a game of chance, just keep hosting and quiting until we get a local game. That is until I discovered this method of ensuring that I can bypass the dedicated server search and get a local game ALL THE TIME!
