What is Microsoft Silverlight and what is it used for?

u don’t do anything with it but when you surf the microsoft websites, i.e. microsoft.com it will enhance the experience, improve video performance and add features. you don’t have to do anything to use it it will just happen, try it out

Microsoft Silverlight is a media accelerator. It enhances the graphical interface of your PC, and it allows to to view more advanced content on the web.

It’s for viewing and developing interactive web-based content. It’s very cool, but very few websites actually use it.
