  • Written by Syn2Die4 about 2 years ago.

I ran hldsupdatetool and it finished the first time. When I try to open it up again, command prompt appears for like not even a second and closes. Help please?

  • Written by ShaunsHelp about 2 years ago.

@MaroKage Is nnk supported by the client? If you go into the client and use the following command “hldsupdatetool.exe -command list” a list of supported games will appear.

Ok everybody talks about hldsupdatetool but what’s the difference between it and a source dedicated server?

  • Written by XxxAlasXxx about 2 years ago.

when i launch it in console, do that all stuff, it didn’t say adding master server

  • Written by XxxAlasXxx about 2 years ago.

‘HLDSUpdateTool’ is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file. I get this error

  • Written by ShaunsHelp about 2 years ago.

@retrosynthetic Just move the server folder to the “C:” drive folder. It’s alot easier and you won’t need to navigate to other folders. :)

@flyerofdreams Press the following buttons on your keyboard all at the same time. Control+ALT+Del, this should bring up the task manager. From there you go to your process and right click on the .exe for the hlserver. “Set Affinity” and “Set Priority” options should be in there. I’m not quite sure about mac.

Grab the folder of gmod and place it into your half-life dedicated server folder. Then just use the hlds.exe launcher in cmd prompt and put -game foldername

  • Written by 9brad0123 about 2 years ago.
