Might want to edit the post to remind people to make sure that the new port that you change to is open/forwarded in the firewall as well as 10000. If it’s not the new port assignment won’t work.

Thank you!!! I’m getting my feet wet with Linux (took me 4 days to finally get the Windows driver working for my wireless card) but after many distros, and many failed attemps, I’m happily running Debian. I’m not sure if I’ll keep it, but at least I’m up and running! Webmin is really great, but your tutorial is even better. I have a couple more week left for my xmas break, so I’m trying to learn as much as I can before I have to hit the books again!

Good question, actually. The answer is intentionally so – the idea of the series is to be a completely beginner series. As the majority of the internet public prefers to use MSIE as a browser, it made most sense for me to use that, as statisticly chances are that beginners looking for information will be using that browser (and OS )

Having said that, you SHOULD have asked “Why are you using a GUI instead of text .conf files?”
